Air quality of the air-conditioning system at Malaga-Costa del Sol airport

Aena has entrusted ONDOAN SERVICIOS to carry out the maintenance work required to regulate the air quality of the air conditioning system at Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport. This will require several measures to keep the airport’s air-conditioning and ventilation system completely clean and disinfected.

First, a hygienic assessment of the air-conditioning systems will be carried out according to UNE 100012 (visual, microbiological and particulate matter inspections). Then, the cleaning and disinfection operations will be performed. This includes the machines (air conditioners, stand-alone units, fans, extractors) and the network of ducts, grilles and diffusers. In turn, the service to cater for approved openings, covers and manholes will be offered.

The work at Malaga airport will also include an inspection to establish the quality of the indoor environment of the entire terminal building, with an estimated minimum of 52 sampling points. Cleaning and disinfection operations shall be carried out in accordance with UNE 100012 and UNE 171330 standards.

Finally, ONDOAN will issue reports that include a summary of the service performed, photographs, certificates, analyses and graphic documentation related to the equipment treated, as well as any comments or suggestions.
