ONDOAN is celebrating its 35th anniversary by promoting internationalisation, new deployments, and increasing its weight in the industrial sector

Greater internationalisation, increased activity in the industrial sector, and geographical expansion are the three key aspects of the strategy that ONDOAN has set out for the next few years, the implementation of which will take place in 2017, coinciding with the 35th Anniversary of the company.

Through these actions, which belong to the conclusions derived from a strategy study conducted by ONDOAN, the company is seeking to improve its position in an increasingly complex and globalised market that is also highly specialised and in need of technological solutions with high added value.

In this context, ONDOAN aims to consolidate its current position in certain countries, such as Mexico, where it has set up a company and has started to offer and execute projects. Furthermore, it is seeking to increase its service portfolio directed at the industrial sector, a field in which it has extensive experience through the hundreds of projects undertaken in various sub-sectors. In addition, ONDOAN is working on expanding geographically by opening offices and branches in various autonomous regions in Spain.

2017 was the 35th anniversary of the incorporation of ONDOAN S. Coop., the parent company of Grupo Ondoan. The launch of the business in 1982, as well as the consolidation of the project, owed much to the fact that it emerged as a cooperative within Grupo Caja Laboral, the precursor of today’s MONDRAGON Corporation. The approach envisaged by the founders was that of a “promoter of business”, i.e. any activity the company developed sufficiently could lead to the formation of a new company. Developing this approach, with mistakes and success stories, has resulted in the growth and diversification of the Group.

For 35 years, ONDOAN has extended its activities in the fields of energy and the environment, resulting in today’s organisation, which is based on four large fields of activity: Plant Engineering, The Environment and Occupational Health & Safety, Maintenance and Services, and Indoor Environmental Quality, supplemented with Energy Services.

ONDOAN is currently a business group consisting of five companies: Ondoan, S.Coop., Ondoan Servicios, S.A., Ondoan AyC, S.L., Kelan, S.L. and Orgaus Systems, S.L., and it has offices in the three provinces of the Basque Country, in Madrid, in Palma de Mallorca – Balearic Islands, as well as in Mexico and Morocco.
